Four children and two adults, including a firefighter, required medical treatment as a result of a rowhouse fire yesterday afternoon in the Northern Liberties section of the city.

The fire, reported at 12:26 p.m., was contained to a three-story, middle-of-the-row home on the 900 block of North Randolph Street, said Executive Chief Daniel Williams. Students from the Walter D. Palmer Learning Center Charter School were evacuated to a nearby church.

Three of the children were treated at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and one at Hahnemann University Hospital for smoke inhalation, Williams said. One adult female, whose identity and connection to the school was not available, also was treated at Hahnemann. The firefighter was treated at Hahnemann for a sprain. Their names were not released. - Joseph A. Gambardello
