A 25-year-old man has been charged in a weekend shooting in the Port Richmond section that wounded two people, including an off-duty police officer, authorities said yesterday.

Police arrested Dario Marrero shortly after the shooting at 12:45 a.m. Saturday in front of the Tattletales bar on Richmond Street near Allegheny Avenue.

Police said Marrero's intended target was a man who was shot once in the stomach. He was in stable condition yesterday at Hahnemann University Hospital.

An off-duty police officer suffered a graze wound to the cheek while sitting in her car in a Wawa parking lot about 200 yards away, police said. She was treated at the hospital and released.

Marrero has been changed with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. - Joseph A. Gambardello
