How much snow? When and where?

Snow was a small nuisance to commuters tonight.

In Center City, snow fell fast for about an hour and all DRPA bridges - the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry - were enforcing a 35 mph speed limit due to weather conditions.

But by 6 p.m., there were few flakes left in the sky.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for some more snow to fall through most of the region. Shore points will receive mostly rain.

"This is not a major event," said Mark DeLisi, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service. "We may get an inch tonight. And there may be some more snow during the day tomorrow, but not a lot again."

The chance of snow will increase as the morning goes on and decrease afternoon.

"We're calling for 1 to 2 inches for the entire thing," DeLisi said.

In the northern and western suburbs, there will be a range of 2 to 5 inches.

Tonight's snow could end as early as 8 p.m. with a chance of some rain in the mix.

DeLisi said tomorrow's snowfall would be "insignificant."

The forecast calls for lows in the upper 20s tonight.

In South Jersey, rain is more likely to be part of the evening and overnight mix, especially toward the Shore, according to the weather service. Totals may not exceed a quarter of an inch in most spots.

"Atlantic City may have all rain, actually," said NWS meteorologist Patrick O'Hara.

The rest of the week calls for four straight days with highs near 40 and at least some sun, which should promote some melting.

No storms are in the forecast through the weekend.
