A Marlton man was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison for possessing tens of thousands of images of child pornography, including ones portraying sadistic or masochistic conduct, according to U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman.

In a plea hearing in federal court in Camden, Edmund Arnold, 60, admitted possessing more than 600 images on his computer hard drive, which authorities seized on March 20, 2009, from a repair shop, authorities said.

Arnold also was sentenced to five years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine and to forfeit his computer equipment, officials said. In July, Arnold pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. - Darran Simon
