Cappelli owes back taxes; divorce called cause
Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. owes more than $21,000 in back property taxes in Collingswood. Cappelli and his wife, Jacqueline, who are in the middle of a divorce, own two properties there assessed at $262,000 and $644,200, according to county property records.

"The property-taxes issue results from a situation in a divorce. It should be resolved by the end of the month," Cappelli said in a statement Monday.
Cappelli is a lawyer with Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader. He was first elected to the freeholder board in 2003, and his current term expires at the end of this year.
News of the tax bill circulated after a list of delinquent taxpayers was published in a local newspaper.
