Cops recovered 23 shell casings at the scene.

POLICE RECOVERED 23 shell casings from a high-powered firearm at the scene of a wild double-shooting in North Philadelphia on Saturday.

The shooting happened near 7th and Clearfield streets about 11 p.m. A 19-year-old man told police he was standing on the northeast corner with a 22-year-old man when a black man wearing a white hoodie or white baseball cap began shooting at him, unleashing a hail of bullets.

The 19-year-old was struck once in the elbow, and a 37-year-old man standing nearby was struck once in the groin. Police said a bullet went through the wood paneling at a nearby Chinese-takeout restaurant, causing glass fragments to hit the owner in the forehead.

The 19-year-old was listed in stable condition, while the 37-year-old was in critical condition. The store owner declined medical treatment.

Police had no suspects or motive in the shooting.
