STRAWBERRY MANSION A Philadelphia man who police said confessed to killing a male prostitute, then told them where to find the scattered body parts, was charged Saturday with murder, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of crime.
Charles Sargent, 43, of the 2100 block of North 32d Street, was charged the day after the victim's remains were found in a field near York Street and Sedgley Avenue, according to information provided by Officer Tanya Little, a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia Police Department.
NBC10 reported that the victim had been identified as Mark Williams. Sargent told police he became enraged when he realized, after a sexual encounter, that his sexual partner was a man.
