RICHBORO The Northampton Indians Division II junior pee wee football team advanced through regional competition last month to qualify for the 57th annual Pop Warner Super Bowl at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The Indians, ages 8 to 10, are scheduled to play Saturday at 11 a.m. in the first round of the tournament against Stratford (Conn.). If they win, the Indians are to play a second-round game Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.

Northampton won the Eastern regional title Nov. 29 with a 21-6 victory over the previously unbeaten Greater Freehold (N.J.) Giants.

Also in the playoffs, in Division I midget for 12-to-14-year-olds, is the Blackhawks Athletic Club of Philadelphia. The Blackhawks are to play the Ontario (Calif.) Jaguars on Sunday at 1 p.m.

A win sends the Blackhawks to the secod round Wednesday. The Blackhawks' midget cheer squad is also competing for a national championship.
