Chesco school custodian charged with rape of another school worker

A custodian at a Chester County middle school was charged Friday with raping a female school district employee at the school the night before, authorities said.

Steven Warren Wesley Sr., 49, of West Chester, was accused of sexually assaulting the 28-year-old woman at Stetson Middle School in Westtown Township.

The woman told police the assault occurred around 10 p.m. Thursday in a small office. The woman, described as an employee of the West Chester Area School District, was treated and released from Chester County Hospital.

Bail was set at $500,000 for Wesley, a 17-year district employee. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 17. He was being held at Chester County Prison.
