Man stable after South Phila. shooting

An 18-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot Thursday night in South Philadelphia, police said. About 9:20 p.m., the man was in the area of 21st and McKean Streets when a bullet struck him in the buttocks, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Police took the man to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition, Small said. Six shell casings were found at the scene of the shooting. No arrests were reported. - Robert Moran
