Driver killed when car is rammed by taxi
A 39-year-old man was killed early Friday when his car was rammed by a taxi in East Oak Lane, police said.

Witnesses told police the taxi was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit a 2000 Nissan Maxima as it made a left turn from 71st Avenue to northbound Old York Road.
The 2007 Ford taxi was southbound on Old York Road when it rammed the driver's side of the Maxima about 1:40 a.m., police said.
The driver of the Maxima, whose name was not immediately released, died at Albert Einstein Medical Center at 2:13 a.m., police said. The 43-year-old cabdriver also was taken to Einstein, where he was treated for facial lacerations.
Police are investigating and no charges were immediately filed.
