Ramps on Route 202

at Route 29 to be closed

EAST WHITELAND Two ramps off southbound Route 202 will be closed at the Route 29 Interchange for two months in East Whiteland Township as part of a highway expansion project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

Starting Monday, the Swedesford Road on-ramp to Route 202 across from Liberty Boulevard will be closed. Drivers will be detoured west on Swedesford Road to the on-ramp for Route 202 south. The detour is set to last until June 16.

The southbound Route 202 off-ramp to Route 29 South/Malvern will be closed from May 12 to July 14. Southbound drivers will be detoured off at the Route 29 North/Great Valley Exit and onto Swedesford Road to Route 29.

PennDot is closing the ramps for work on its $105.4 million project to expand four miles of Route 202 to six lanes.
