Woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Lawncrest
A 53-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in the Lawncrest section of Northeast Philadelphia, police said.
A 53-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in the Lawncrest section of Northeast Philadelphia, police said.
The crashed happened about 9:20 a.m. at Tabor and East Godfrey Road, police said. A green Toyota Corolla traveling south on Tabor turned left at Godfrey and struck blue van heading north on Tabor, police said. The woman, a passenger in the Corolla, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Her name was withheld by police.
The driver of the Corolla, a 71-year-old man, suffered head and leg injuries and was transported to Einstein Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. No other injuries were reported. - Robert Moran
