Man struck, killed by Broad Street Subway

A 60-year-old man was stuck and killed by a Southbound Broad Street Subway train in Center City on Sunday Evening, officials said.

The incident occurred at the Walnut-Locust Station at about 7:40 p.m. Officials offered no other details about the victim.

Shuttle buses were being used between Walnut-Locust and Girard Stations, while the accident was being investigated, officials said. - Vernon Clark
