Delco man charged with defrauding VA of $64,000

A Delaware County man was charged Tuesday by federal prosecutors with defrauding the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs of more than $64,000 while working at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Isaac Bonner, 43, of Darby Township, allegedly submitted fraudulent time sheets for approximately $64,377 for nursing aide services he did not render while assigned to the medical center, prosecutors said.

If convicted, Bonner faces up to 10 years in prison and a maximum $250,000 fine. - Robert Moran
