Water main breaks in N. Philly

A 20-inch water main burst at North 4th Street and Germantown Avenue Wednesday morning, flooding nearby streets until work crews could shut off the flow.

A 20-inch water main burst at North 4th Street and Germantown Avenue Wednesday morning, flooding nearby streets until work crews could shut off the flow.

There are no reports of injuries or serious damage.

Officials closed the area for a short time while Water Department crews worked to shut off the water flow.
