Man robbed, stabbed in Kensington

A man was in stable condition Thursday night after he was robbed and stabbed in Kensington, police said.

The attack occurred near Front and Silver Streets shortly before 10:30 p.m. The man, who is in his 30s, was getting into his car when another man approached and slashed his tires, robbed him of some cash, and stabbed him in the torso, police said.

The victim told detectives he did not know his attacker, police said. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital. - Ben Finley
