Bucks county’s new justice center opens for business

The Bucks County justice center, the most expensive public construction project in county history, will open its doors to four county departments starting Tuesday, finally bringing regular traffic to the $85 million, seven-story facility.

The offices of the sheriff, clerk of courts, district attorney, and domestic relations will begin occupying the new space Tuesday, according to the county website.

The justice center, built across the street from the county courthouse in Doylestown, was opened formally with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this month. It took more than three years to construct the facility.

Eventually, all court operations will move to the new justice center, while other county departments will fill in voids left behind in the old courthouse.
