3 hospitalized after pit bull attack in N.E. Philly

A 33-year-old woman and her two children were hospitalized late Wednesday afternoon after being bitten by their newly adopted pit bull in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

A 33-year-old woman and her two children were hospitalized late Wednesday afternoon after being bitten by their newly adopted pit bull in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

Shortly before 5 p.m. in the 9400 block of Lansford Street, the woman and her 11-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter were injured by the dog, police said.

All three were taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus to be treated. Animal control officers took custody of the dog. - Robert Moran
