Philadelphia police are investigating a woman's report of a sexual assault by an UberX driver.

The report was made Feb. 6, and the driver in question has not been charged. No details of the alleged crime were available.

In a statement, the ride-sharing service said that the driver had been interviewed by police and is cooperating with the investigation. They said the victim had been dropped off at the 5th Police District in Roxborough on the night of the alleged assault.

Uber officials said they had deactivated the driver's access to its platform and would "continue to assist the authorities in any way we can." - Aubrey Whelan
