1 dead, 3 hurt as car crashes into NE Philadelphia nail salon

One person was killed and three others were injured after a car crashed into a Northeast Philadelphia nail salon, officials said.

One person was killed and three others were injured after a car crashed into a Northeast Philadelphia nail salon, officials said.

Philadelphia police said the vehicle veered off the road and into the salon on the 9800 block of Bustleton Avenue just after 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

One person died after being struck by the vehicle, police said.

Three others were injured and taken to area hospitals. Their conditions and other details about the victims weren't immediately available.

The driver of the vehicle wasn't hurt, police said.

Police said the circumstances of the crash are under investigation and it wasn't immediately clear why the car left the roadway.
