Overnight lane closures set next week for I-95

Late-night drivers can expect delays and construction-related lane closings at the Cottman Avenue and Girard Avenue exits of I-95 next week, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday.

Late-night drivers can expect delays and construction-related lane closings at the Cottman Avenue and Girard Avenue exits of I-95 next week, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday.

One lane of northbound I-95 will be closed between New State Road and Rhawn Street between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Monday through Wednesday. Two southbound lanes will be closed between Cottman Avenue and Bridge Street during the same hours Monday through Friday. The northbound Cottman off-ramp will be closed during the same hours Monday through April 11.

Only one southbound lane will be open between Girard Avenue and I-676 from 10 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday. Additional lane restrictions in both directions will be in place from 10 a.m. Friday until 5 a.m. April 11. Traffic in both directions will be stopped periodically for 15 minutes at a time between 12:01 and 5 a.m. April 11. - Inquirer staff
