Two more Cosby accusers back releasing full transcripts

Two more of Bill Cosby's accusers have joined in asking a federal judge in Philadelphia to release the full transcript of the actor-comedian's testimony in a 2005 assault and defamation civil case.
In a motion filed Monday, Beth Ferrier and Rebecca Neal - both of whom have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them in the 1980s - joined an earlier request to release his deposition in a case brought by Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee who alleged that Cosby drugged and molested her.
U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno unsealed excerpts from the deposition last week, among other legal documents in the case.
In them, Cosby testified that he had obtained prescriptions for Quaaludes in the 1970s to use in sexual encounters with women and had offered college scholarships to two accusers who threatened to go public with allegations that he had assaulted them.
Ferrier and Neal, both of whom were listed as potential witnesses for Constand before she settled the case in 2006, say the full transcript will allow them to better defend themselves against Cosby's recent statements.
In response to more recent accusations of sexual misconduct from more than two dozen women, Cosby has maintained that the stories have been fully discredited and are "innuendo." He has denied assaulting any woman and has not faced sex-crime charges.
Cosby's lawyers have not responded to the requests to unseal his full deposition transcript but have argued in recent court filings that the excerpts unsealed by Robreno "do not provide a full picture of Cosby's testimony."
