Perkiomen School gets new headmaster

The Perkiomen School, a private, college-prep boarding and day school with 350 students in Pennsburg, said Tuesday that Mark A. Devey has become headmaster.

Devey, who had been the headmaster of the Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, Conn. since 2006, is a former middle school head of Episcopal Academy, now in Newtown Square.

He succeeds Christopher Tompkins, who had led Perkiomen for seven years and has become headmaster at the Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock.

Devey, 52, has an undergraduate degree in English from the University of North Carolina and a master's degree in educational leadership with a concentration in private school leadership from Columbia University's Teachers College.
