Philly police ID three murder victims

Police on Sunday identified victims who were fatally shot in three separate cases around the city over the weekend. In the first shooting, in the 1600 block of Staub Street in North Philadelphia, James Brown, 25, of the 2000 block of Oakford Street, was found lying on the street around 1:30 a.m. Friday, police said. A caller summoned police to the scene after seeing a person with a gun.

In the first shooting, in the 1600 block of Staub Street in North Philadelphia, James Brown, 25, of the 2000 block of Oakford Street, was found lying on the street around 1:30 a.m. Friday, police said. A caller summoned police to the scene after seeing a person with a gun.

Brown had gunshot wounds to the chest and right side of the neck. Medics took Brown to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 2 a.m.

Later that day, 30-year-old Jamaya Dogan was discovered unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk in the 1900 block of Mount Street in Kensington.

Dogan, of the 2000 block of Watkins Street, was found shortly after 11 p.m. when police were called to the scene. He suffered wounds to the left collarbone, left side, abdomen and buttocks and died shortly after he was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, police said.

The third victim, who was found slumped over the wheel of a car in the 2800 block of Frankford Avenue in Kensington on Saturday, was identified as Anany Peralta, 32, of the 2100 block of Disston Street. She was found shortly after 5 a.m. in the driver's seat of a white 2014 Ford Escape. She had gunshot wounds to the head and torso, police said. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

The investigations into the three homicides are continuing. No other information was released.
