Alyce Fearn Klaus, 64, of Moorestown, a former president of the Burlington Camden County Association of Realtors, died of cancer Tuesday, Aug. 4, at home.
A graduate of Camden Catholic High School, Mrs. Klaus in 1977 became assistant sales manager for the Medford office of Brick Real Estate. Eventually, she became vice president and general manager for the firm, her husband, Charles, said.
When Brick was sold to the Weichert real estate firm in 1997, Mrs. Klaus became manager of its Medford office and, later, sales manager for its Moorestown office.
The Weichert firm frequently named her manager of the year for its South Jersey region and, her husband said, on occasion she was named manager of the year for the parent firm.
Donna Bittle, a sales agent in Weichert's Medford office, had known Mrs. Klaus for almost 20 years.
"I started as her secretary," Bittle said, "and found her to be the most dynamic woman I have ever met."
Mrs. Klaus was "a mentor to many," Bittle said.
"I've seen her lead sales meetings. She would just carry the room," Bittle said.
"An incredibly inspirational woman."
Besides her husband, Mrs. Klaus is survived by son Joe Robinson; stepsons Chuck, Brian, Eric, Peter, and Matthew; stepdaughter Christine Klaus; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her former husband, Joseph Robinson. A visitation was set from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, at Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, where a Funeral Mass is to take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10. Interment is to be private.
