The attack happened Sunday, when a man encountered two women and their male companion near the 2400 block of North Beach Street and forced them at gunpoint into a wooded area, police said. He robbed the victims and sexually assaulted one woman.

Afterward, the man bound the victims with their own clothing and then fled on foot, walking west toward Richmond Street.
