Police investigating shooting death of man, 25, outside TLA

Philadelphia police said Saturday that they are continuing their investigation of a Friday night shooting outside the Theater of the Living Arts on South Street that left a man dead.

Philadelphia police said Saturday that they are continuing their investigation of a Friday night shooting outside the Theater of the Living Arts on South Street that left a man dead.

The identity of the 25-year-old victim has not yet been released.

"Nothing has changed since last night," a police spokesman said Saturday.

The shooting, about 8 p.m., came two doors east of the TLA, where Chicago rapper Lil Durk was to appear. A large number of people were in line to see the show, which also was to feature acts by Hypno Carlito and Gunplay.

Police ordered the show canceled after the shooting.

No one else was injured. Police recovered three spent shell casings. Chief Inspector Scott Small said one bullet struck the windshield of a black tour bus; the driver and a female inside the vehicle were unhurt.

Witnesses said the shooter, dressed all in black, appeared to get into a limousine that fled the scene, police said.

Police said they stopped a limousine on Columbus Boulevard and took three occupants in for questioning. There was no information Saturday on who they were or whether they had been charged.
