Port Richmond bar fights ends in stabbing

A 30-year-old man was stabbed and critically wounded early Wednesday during a fight outside a Port Richmond bar, police said.

A 30-year-old man was stabbed and critically wounded early Wednesday during a fight outside a Port Richmond bar, police said.

Police said the dispute began the a bar on Lehigh Avenue at East Thompson Street about 1:30 a.m. and spilled outside.

During the fight, the victim was stabbed one time in the right side of the chest and his assailant fled, police said.

The man was taken to Temple University Hospital by police and reported in critical condition, police said.

East Detectives interviewed witnesses but there is no word yet if they have identified a suspect.
