FIVE FIREFIGHTERS were injured yesterday when a ladder truck responding to a call apparently lost control in West Philly and hit several parked cars, police said. It happened around 10 a.m. on Baltimore Avenue near 54th Street, police said. One of the injured firefighters, from Ladder 13 based at 52nd Street near Willows Avenue, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, and it was unclear whether he was still there last night. No civilians were injured in the crash, according to a tweet from the Fire Department.
