Lighting set for tree

Camden's annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony will take place Thursday evening at Roosevelt Plaza Park in front of City Hall.

Camden's annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony will take place Thursday evening at Roosevelt Plaza Park in front of City Hall.

The event, hosted by Mayor Dana Redd, is from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening includes free hot chocolate and caroling by students from Creative Arts High School.

The 32-foot tree will have synchronized lights and sounds. Free parking is available near City Hall, city officials said.
