OXFORD La Comunidad Hispaña, a health and community services organization based in Kennett Square, is to open a new location in Oxford this month.
The center is to offer primary, acute, and chronic care in the Oxford Professional Center. The organization has served southern Chester County for more than 40 years.
Paul Huberty, chair of the board at La Comunidad Hispaña, said lack of transportation to medical appointments prevents people from getting care, which is why the new location is important for people in the area.
The new center is to have a public grand opening event on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
The center is to open to patients in mid-December and accept those with private and public health insurance and without insurance. - Michaelle Bond
