ROYERSFORD Teachers from the Spring-Ford Area School District are to host a Young Innovators Fair on Jan. 2 and 3, 2016.
The fair is designed to promote science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. It is to be held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.
The presentation, open to all students, is to be divided into 10 "worlds" that will offer more than 50 activities and exhibits designed to attract children to the five STEAM fields. More than 40 acts will also perform on several stages throughout the day.
"We set out to jolt the community in the sciences," Gabe Young, CEO of All Access Labs, the producer of the fair, said in a statement.
The fair is to run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Tickets are available for $22 at www.younginnovatorsfair.com or for $27 at the door. Children 2 and under are free.
Spring-Ford Area School District residents may receive a $5 discount when they use the code SFASDFIVE. Go to www.younginnovatorsfair.com for more information. - Inquirer staff
