Popular areas of the Fairmount Park system now have an expanded overnight curfew for deer-control activities until the end of March, officials said Friday.

The 8 p.m.-to-6 a.m. curfew went into effect Dec. 1 in the Wissahickon Valley, West Fairmount Park, Cobbs Creek Park, Tacony Creek Park, and Pennypack Park areas.

Trails and parking lots in these areas are closed to pedestrian, bicycle, equestrian, and vehicular traffic during those hours. - Robert Moran
