Route 41 reopened after the replacement of two bridges last week in Atglen Borough and West Fallowfield and West Sadsbury Townships.
Construction on the $7.5 million project to replace the 60-year-old structurally deficient bridges began Oct. 20.
"This project required advance planning and precise management to ensure that it was completed quickly and on time," said State Sen. Andy Dinniman (D., Chester) in a statement.
The two bridges carry 13,412 vehicles a day on average and stand 850 feet apart from each other south of the Route 372 intersection, the statement said. - Justine McDaniel
