Firefighter hurt in South Philly blaze

A firefighter was injured battling an overnight blaze in South Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Fire Department said crews were called to the rowhome on the 2300 block of Moore Street just after 12:45 a.m. Monday.

A firefighter was injured battling an overnight blaze in South Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Fire Department said crews were called to the rowhome on the 2300 block of Moore Street just after 12:45 a.m. Monday.

One firefighter was hurt, and was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No one who was inside the residence was harmed.

The fire was under control in about 15 minutes.

The cause of the blaze wasn't immediately known.
