Man found stabbed to death in Overbrook; son in custody

A 29-year-old man was in custody after his 82-year-old father was found stabbed to death Wednesday afternoon in the city's Overbrook section, police said.

The father, who suffered stab wounds over his left eye and behind his left ear, was pronounced dead at 3:11 p.m. inside his home in the 5700 block of Woodbine Avenue.

His son also lives at the location and was there when officers arrived. He was being held pending charges, police said. - Robert Moran
