Body found in abandoned North Phila. house

A badly decomposed body, possibly of a woman, was found in an abandoned house late Thursday afternoon in North Philadelphia, police said.

Around 5 p.m., police were called to the 2200 block of North Chadwick Street, where they found the body in the first-floor living room of an abandoned property, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The person's skull had what appeared to be trauma, so the death was being considered suspicious pending a determination by the Medical Examiner's Office, Small said. - Robert Moran
