Two people stabbed in East Mount Airy

A man was critically wounded and a woman also was injured in a double stabbing Wednesday night in the city's East Mount Airy section, police said.

A man was critically wounded and a woman also was injured in a double stabbing Wednesday night in the city's East Mount Airy section, police said.

The attack occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. inside a private residence in the 7800 block of Thouron Avenue, police said.

A 36-year-old man was stabbed twice in the right side of his back. A 27-year-old woman was cut on the right side of her neck and on her left hand. Both were transported to Einstein Medical Center.

A female was taken into custody, police said. - Robert Moran
