The 70-year-old man suspected of shooting an employee at a fried-chicken restaurant in Tioga was charged Thursday with attempted homicide.

Police had been seeking Ronald Graham, who also goes by the name Roland, since Sunday evening, when a 19-year-old employee was shot at Church's Chicken at 3650 N. Broad St., police said.

Graham got angry when a 21-year-old employee began cleaning tables near where he was eating, argued with the worker and a manager, and then briefly left the building, according to police.

The employee's 19-year-old brother, who also worked at the restaurant, tried to calm him down.

Graham fired at the 19-year-old, who was taken to Temple University Hospital with gunshot wounds to his stomach and chest.

Graham, who police said did not have a license to carry a weapon and was homeless, walked out of the restaurant and went south on Broad Street after the shooting.

SEPTA police arrested him Thursday morning on the Route 23 bus. He was later charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, violation of the uniform firearms act, simple assault and related offenses.
