Car stolen with twins sleeping inside

Three-year-old twins were found unharmed late Monday after the car they had been sleeping in was stolen.

The white 2006 Buick Lucerne was stolen at about 11:30 p.m. near Broad Street and Chew Avenue, according to police radio reports.

The car had been left running, and the thief apparently didn't know the 3-year-old twins were sleeping in the back seat, police said.

The vehicle was recovered a few minutes later, with the children unharmed, near 15th Street and Widener Place, police radio reports said.
