Motorcyclist, injured in Chesco 202 crash, dies

A Montgomery County man has died of injuries he suffered in a crash involving a car and the motorcycle he was driving on Route 202 in Westtown Township, Chester County, police said Thursday.

The victim was identified as Dorian A. Dumas Jr., 31, of Penn Valley.

The motorcyle and the car both were traveling southbound on 202 about 9:05 a.m. Wednesday when "for an undetermined reason" the front bumper the car struck the motorcycle, throwing the motorcycle drive onto the center median. Both drivers were taken to Paoli Hospital, where the driver of the car, Jalmeel Conway, 25, of Trenton, was treated and then released.

He has been cooperating in the investigation, according to Lt. William Cahill of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department.

Police declined to say whether Dumas had been wearing a helmet.
