Man struck by a subway car in Center City

A man was struck by a train on the Market Frankford Line Sunday night. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to SEPTA spokeswoman Kristen Geiger, and was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment.

He suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to SEPTA spokeswoman Kristen Geiger, and was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment.

The man was on the platform when he was hit by the subway train as it approached 11th Street Station about 5:50 p.m., Geiger said. She had no information as to why he was in the train's path or where the train struck him.

SEPTA is investigating the incident.
