3 wounded, hospitalized, in Hunting Park shootings

Three people were wounded in two separate shootings within several blocks of each other Friday night in the city's Hunting Park section, police said.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of North Ninth Street, a 31-year-old man was shot in the right chest, right arm, and left foot.

He was taken by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. No arrests were reported.

Just before 7:10 p.m. in the 700 block of West Luzerne Street, a 32-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen and a 26-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder and left hand. The woman was taken by medics to Temple and the man taken by private vehicle to Temple. Both were in stable condition. Police reported no arrests and did not say if they shootings were connected.
