A man believed to be in his mid-20s was shot several times, at least once in the head, on the west side of Chester City Saturday night.

According to police, the shooting took place about 9:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Bethel Road.

The man, who was not identified, was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where his condition was unknown.
