Man, no ID, fatally shot in head on Gurney St.

An unidentified man died Saturday morning in the 100 block of West Gurney Street apparently of a gunshot wound to the head, Philadelphia police said.

Police responding to a report of gunshots found the wounded man lying in the street. Medics pronounced the man dead at 6:57 a.m

The man's identity was not available immediately, pending family notification. The Homicide Unit is investigating, police said.
