Double shooting in Frankford leaves one dead, one critical

One man was killed and another critically wounded in a double shooting Tuesday night in the city's Frankford section.

Police said the shootings happened just after 7:20 p.m. on the street in the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue. An unidentified man in his mid-30s was shot in the chest and back. Police took him to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus, where he was pronounced dead at 8:02 p.m.

Police took the second victim, a 35-year-old man, to Temple University Hospital.

No arrests were reported.
