A 44-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed into a SEPTA paratransit van Friday evening in the city's Frankford section, police said.

A 44-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed into a SEPTA paratransit van Friday evening in the city's Frankford section, police said.

Around 5:30 p.m., the van was on Bridge Street making a left turn onto Penn Street when it was struck in the rear by the motorcycle, said SEPTA spokesman Andrew Busch.

Medics took the man, whose name was not released, to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus, where he was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the accident was under investigation. - Robert Moran
