Some residents of the Summerdale section of Northeast Philadelphia awoke Christmas morning to find a line of vehicles parked at the curb with tires slashed, police said.

Detectives are investigating after an 8:11 a.m. Sunday call about the slashings on the 900 block of Foulkrod Street, said Officer Christine O'Brien, a police department spokeswoman.

She did not immediately know how many vehicles were damaged.
