Man shot, drives in reverse to escape
Police are investigating the shooting early Sunday of a 26-year-old man as he drove his car southbound on the 3700 block of N. 17th Street.
Police are investigating the shooting early Sunday of a 26-year-old man as he drove his car southbound on the 3700 block of N. 17th Street.
Investigators said the victim was stopped at a red light with a passenger, 46, when another car pulled up and blocked them. The victim told police an unknown male exited his car, opened fire and fled.
The victim sustained a bullet wound to the left side of his chest, but managed to escape by driving in reverse down N. 17th street, hitting a parked car . He was transported by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed Sunday in stable condition.
Police said the victim and passenger had been at the Mezzanine nightclub, where theyargued with a group of unknown males.
